Didier Drogba believes the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa are going to be a spectacle to behold.
Drogba is currently on holiday in the country, which is currently staging the 2009 Confederations Cup.
It had been thought South Africa was going to struggle to host the tournament and that another country could even be on stand-by as part of a plan 'B'.
However, Drogba feels that with the whole continent behind South Africa next year's tournament will be something special.
Support
"I think it'll be like the other World Cups, but a little bit more because we're going to get the support of the entire continent," he said on Sky Sports News. "Even more so than before.
"You can see it's not like what some media were saying. People are really fantastic here and they want to give you guys the best World Cup. So we're ready."
Meanwhile, Drogba is not thinking about next season with Chelsea, where he has one year remaining on his deal, as he is enjoying his break from the club.
"I'm on holiday now," he continued. "So I'm just spending my time with the kids. I'm not even thinking about Chelsea."
